Prices are difficult to generalise. Each mural is different in dimension and complexity. Price is naturally affected by the size, but also, and to a greater extent, by the complexity and detail level of the subject matter. Two murals of the exact same dimensions can be wildly different in price, so I cannot give a price per square metre for example.
As a very general rule of thumb, a single average sized wall will be 1 - 1 1/2 days to complete.
I charge at a rate of 225 per day plus expenses.
The expenses are calculated as 20p per mile travelling (remembering that it is 20p per mile in both directions) any accommodation at cost.
Although I am stating a daily rate, I do not just turn up and give a bill based on how many days I have worked. I give a fixed price for the mural as designed. If it takes longer than I anticipated, I do not charge extra. Naturally if you ask for more to be added as I paint, and this causes me to over-run, I will have to charge extra, but if any changes are completed within the original time-span, again, I will not make any extra charges.
