Children's Murals Commissions
Once you contact me I will get back to you to discuss your requirements whether by e-mail or telephone to suit you. The kind of things we will need to discuss are location, style, content and colours.
Location: I will need to know: the dimensions of the wall(s) to be painted and whether the wall(s) contain doors, windows, radiators, or have any furniture positioned that will obstruct part of the wall and therefore the design of the mural. Often a photograph may help, but for particularly awkward areas such as attic rooms with sloping ceilings, I may need to arrange to come and view the area myself.
Style: If you have a preference I will need to know the style of mural you would like, such as a cartoon style, or more realistic feel.
Content: Naturally the content / theme of the mural will need to be discussed.
Colours: Do you want bright and bold, or a more muted colour palette? What colour is the rest of the room/dcor.
You can be as detailed as you like with your brief. If you just have a vague notion of what you want that is fine, but if you know a lot of the detail you are looking for, please don't hold back.
From this initial discussion, I will produce a design sketch and quotation. This is a totally free and without obligation quotation.
The initial design may well need some amendments. I do request for a deposit before making amendments to the design, but once a deposit has been paid I will amend the design as many t imes as necessary to arrive at a result that you are totally happy with.
Once you are happy with the design, I will arrange a date to complete the mural.
The balance of the invoice is then due on completion of the job to your satisfaction.
